BestCare Laboratory has been the fastest growing laboratory in U.S. many years in a row. Their focus on diagnostic testing for nursing homes necessitates that many tests are ran as stat orders (emergency orders) that need to be taken in, processed, with results delivered as soon as possible.

The Challenge:

webzoneUS has built several innovative software solutions for BestCare Laboratory, but the one truly defines our essence and creativity was born out of a challenge that most diagnostic laboratories have. That is when serving institutions regularly such as Hospitals or Nursing Homes, there was no technology or software in existance to organize future scheduled accessions in a manner that would synchronize all phlebotomist team resources.

The Solution:

Briefly put, our solution schedules the visits to all the patients in the hospitals, nursing homes, etc. for the duration of their illness. The information that facilitates this is automatically based on the doctors’ prescriptions, which is HIPAA compliant.

Simultaneously, it saves not only precious time in the case of stat orders, but eliminates unnecessary traveling expenses by itemizing and directing resources strategically and efficiently, minimizing the waste of precious time while maximizing the use of the phlebotomists on the field.

This new system also monitored the time, travel and mileage incurred, in addition to multiple additional applications.
