Case Study: MD Anderson

Who:

MD Anderson is the Top hospital in the U.S. for cancer care, and one of the cancer care top hospitals worldwide. RoadRunner Moving is one of the largest moving companies in U.S.

The Challenge:

MD Anderson, like other big institutions, is continuously expanding, moving offices and assets. The challenge was to keep track of multiple assets that sometimes go to storage, other times are sent to different departments and locations. At the same time, another challenge was to schedule and keep track of the moves.

The Solution:

Our system allows MD Anderson to schedule moves directly on their new system. Each department can now enter their assets into the system, including pictures, and know at any given moment where their assets are. At the same time, they can list all the assets within a physical location while knowing exactly where they are located (even historically). Our system also keeps track of the items that are in storage, allowing both the provider of the storage and the moves (RoadRunner) as well as MD Anderson, to know the exact amount of items in storage and the dates that they will be out.

The Outcome:

The system has allowed MD Anderson and Roadrunner Moving to work more efficiently, saving many phone calls before the move and many phone calls after the move to know where specific assets were located.
